Pastor Richard F. McPayten
Pastor Richard F. McPayten was born and raised in Washington D.C. Attended D.C. Public Schools. He is a graduate of Howard University. He was called to the Ministry in 1985. After which he graduated from Washington Bible College in Lanham Md. He later received his master’s degree from Capitol Bible Seminary. He was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ at Bethesda Baptist Church in 1998. He is the former Senior Pastor of Goodwill Baptist Church of N.W Washington D.C.
Pastor McPayten has served on the Boards of Big Brothers of America, Faith University of Temple Hills MD, and United World Missions. He has taught Ministers at the Baptist Minister Conference as the Sunday School Lesson Bible Expositor.
He has served as the interim Senior Pastor at Resurrection Baptist Church of Silver Spring. He has also been on numerous mission trips to Kenya east Africa to teach and share the gospel.
Pastor McPayten currently serves as the Executive Vice Chairman on the Board of Directors of Child Evangelism Fellowship of Washington D.C. and Vicinity where he has served since 1999.
