My name is Dr. Brendaly Drayton. I Live in State College, PA, and work for Penn State University as the Guided Study Groups Program Manager and Scholar in Residence of Learning Communities. My place of worship is Unity Church of Jesus Christ.
It was in 2012 that I first met Apostle Raycenia and Pastor Sam. I was a doctoral student in the adult education program at Penn State and a member of the intercessory group at church. Apostle Raycenia and Pastor Sam visited one of our intercessory meetings in which Apostle Raycenia said that in order for us to truly minister to people, we need to be healed first (in our inner most being) and prayed for us. I had never heard that before.
Later, I became involved in NewB® Leadership Center’s small ministry outreach on Penn State campus, the Monday night online prayer meetings, the PA Leadership Gatherings, and the Jesus@Work in the Marketplace conferences.
I started attending the New Beginnings events because I wanted a deeper understanding of the Word and of my identity in Christ. Also, I was walking through the desert place of unemployment (2012-2014) and the Ministry was a source of encouragement.
The Lord has used the New Beginnings ministry to bring me into a deeper understanding of who He is in me and who I am in Him. Instead of walking in fear, I am increasingly walking in faith and experiencing deeper levels of freedom and joy. I am learning how to apply God’s truth to my life and to walk in kingdom authority.
The in-depth studying of the Word has helped me to understand the prophetic and to be open to it. Signs of the prophetic gifting were evident in my early walk with the Lord, but I was afraid of it and told the Lord I did not want it. Through this ministry, I have repented of that and have embraced all that Father has placed within me. The ministry has given me eyes to see Jesus operating in the marketplace through me. While I was a leader, I did not see myself as one, but now, I see myself as one of the Sons of God here to advance His kingdom by bringing His righteousness, wisdom, love, and grace into my area of responsibility. I am now a serving as part of the NewB® Leadership PA Leadership Team.
The uniqueness of NewB® Leadership Center is helping Christians to see God is the answer in the marketplace and to understand how to apply the Word of truth to their lives; to see the relevance of God for our times.
